Yonam College Next-gen Agricultural Technology Centre offers education and training in ICT-based farming using modular vertical farms. It develops a skilled agricultural sector workforce through training programmes conducted in real vertical farms. To support this goal, Yonam College has established a Department of Smart Farming to cultivate practical expertise in the field. The college has also built an ICT-based modular vertical container farm system, providing an ideal setting for its practice-oriented curriculum. In line with its mission of becoming the Republic of Korea’s leading institution in next-generation agricultural technologies, the college has constructed state-of-the-art facilities, including a smart farm plastic greenhouse, an advanced Venlo-type greenhouse, a fully artificial-light vertical type farm and a vertical container farm. These facilities have high-tech systems to deliver digital farm education and training programmes.
