Developed jointly by PT XL Axiata Tbk (XL Axiata) and Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Research and Observation Center (BROL), the Laut Nusantara is a digital solution which shows the location of the fish in the sea and facilitate the work of fishermen. In addition, it also has digital marketing tools which increase the sales of processed marine products produced by fishing communities. Laut Nusantara enables fishermen to plan their fishing activities better, start independently determining the closest fishing location, estimate fuel needs, and estimate the selling price, taking into account weather and wave conditions while working at sea. According to the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Research and Observation Center (BROL), the solution has over 62,000 active users/ subscribers and over 250,000 fishermen have benefited from it in 105 villages across 28 regions of Indonesia.
