Developed by Sea6 Energy Pvt. Ltd., SeaCombin is an Internet of Things (IoT), sensors and Big Data based seaweed cultivation technology. It is mechanized catamaran system enables simultaneous harvesting and replanting of seaweed in deep ocean waters, allowing for large-scale, cost-effective seaweed production. It supports ocean farming by making it possible to cultivate seaweed in previously inaccessible areas. The platform includes custom workboats, specialized seaweed handling equipment, and marine agronomy tools. It reduces labor costs and allows for seaweed farming in nutrient-rich deep ocean waters, surpassing conventional shallow-water farming methods. The SeaCombine or Sea ‘tractor’ is a technology that can seed, harvest and handle harvested seaweed at the same time, mechanizing seaweed farming through and through and allowing farmers to farm larger areas of the ocean surface. While initially designed for deep ocean use, the technology has evolved to include smaller mechanized vessels suitable for medium-to-shallow waters, adapting to various coastal conditions.
