Digital Prodution System for Rice Planting

Developed by China Agricultural University, the Digital Prodution System for Rice Planting is an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution for the entire processes of rice planting and industrial chain. With more than 90 sets of various types of equipment, the solution realizes the data monitoring of people, farm machinery, equipment, crops, materials and environment and boosts efficiency of agricultural production by 30% and reducing production costs by 20%. The solution also automates transplanting, fertilizing, spraying pesticides and other farming activities (except for sowing)related to rice planting which saves time and money. The system has a huge LED screen which displays Internet of Things (IoT) based real-time data monitoring in Dianjiang County. The agricultural Internet of Things transmits information such as moisture, temperature, and pests, and remotely controls drones to spray pesticides and automatic irrigation platforms. With the help of plant protection drones, the entire rice field is covered with atomized pesticides in just a few minutes.

In 2024, the rice seed production area in Dianjiang County will reach 20,000 mu, with an estimated seed production of more than 4 million kilograms, and a direct output value of about 70 million yuan. In addition to being sold to some provinces and cities in the middle and upper reaches of the Yangtze River, the "Dianjiang-made" seeds have also been exported to some Southeast Asian and African countries.
