Digital Solution
The Paddy Trading Platform (PTP)

country Cambodia

The Paddy Trading Platform (PTP) is a mobile app based digital solution developed by Cambodia Rice Federation (CRF) in 2016. It was developed as part of the Support to Commercialization of Cambodian Rice Project (SCCRP) to establish and strengthen links between Farmer Organizations (FO) and private sector buyers of paddy rice in Cambodia in order for them to fulfill their roles as economic stakeholders in the rice value chain. The PTP is a business matchmaking solution that complements other instruments with the overall goal of assisting the growth of the rice value-chain in general, and specifically Cambodian farmers in realizing economic benefits from rice market development. This app is designed for millers, intermediaries, farmers, and agricultural cooperatives to use in order to make announcements, news, and see historical data all on a mobile device.
