Crop Diagnostics Application

country Bangladesh

Developed by mPower Social Enterprise Ltd. in partnership with Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) and CARE Bangladesh and funded by USAID, the Crop Diagnostics Application is a smartphone based digital solution that helps farmers diagnose any problem in a crop especially pest and disease infliction. Once a farmer identifies the specific problem, the app then suggests associated curative measures for that problem. The solution has two main features 1) Image based diagnostic tool: The app contains information with real images about various diseases that can occur at different parts of the crop and 2) Offline accessibility: The app functions without internet. The Crop Diagnostics Application enables farmers easily diagnose any disease or pest attack by matching the photos in app and it also gives instant curative advice to farmer for that specific pest or disease attack.
