The Agrolli app is a digital product designed to help local small farmers (especially fruit and vegetable producers) to monitor weather conditions, get regular crop-related information, market their products and improve their financial situation. The farmer can enter their farmland history, track the vegetables the farmer grows and sells, get information about various vegetables and fruits from the app. THe Agrolli will support farmers to build trust and inform consumers about their products’ quality. Agrolly main functions include: (i) Connect rural household farmers with the ability to exchange text and photos (ii) Real-time weather monitoring (text and visual); (iii) Provide Long-Term Weather Forecast (temperature and rainfall) ; (iv) Selection based on the forthcoming forecast; (v) Crop risk assessing by identifying weather problem area. The Agrolli app first pilot was launched in April 2020 in New York by young people from India, Brazil, Mongolia and Taiwan and received recognition by IBM's Tech for Challenge’s ‘Call for Code 2020’. the Agrolli’ smartphone application was selected as the ‘Best Innovative Product and Service’ during the Innovation Week 2021, which is the second start-up that received their award as a result of being part of virtual event in May 2021.
