Animal identification and registration system (AIRS)

This digital application aims to promote export of livestock and livestock products in Mongolia. AIRS is also the foundation for addressing and managing animal health issues (including zoonoses) and facilitate exports. AIRS aims to quickly locate the origin of an animal and will also contribute to improving public veterinary services, disease surveillance and control of contagious disease by strengthening reliability of veterinary export certificates. This digital solution can have significant economic impacts on Mongolia, help addressing the environmental challenges linked to over-grazing and improve the Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) situation in Mongolia, as well as disseminate good practices and ensure replicability.
