Agroshift
Bangladesh
Agroshift is a demand-driven digital grocery ordering platform designed for Ready-Made Garments (RMG) factory workers and employees, primarily providing agro commodities such as vegetables, fruits, rice, pulses, milk and, meat and other daily necessities. Agroshift eliminates intermediaries in the supply chain, giving workers direct access to high-quality, safe and affordable food. Workers can place digital orders through a mobile app or physically at ordering kiosks equipped with fixed mobile tablets set up in designated factory areas. Agroshift fulfils orders by sourcing directly from its farmer networks across four Bangladesh districts, managing sorting, grading, packaging and delivery to the factories. The platform has partnered with BRAC for mentorship and seed funding through the “Stitch Challenge”. Its first customer is H&M, a global RMG sourcing company, which provided market exposure to various RMG factories. Additionally, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) has offered funding and international exposure. Agroshift has also partnered with UNDP’s Youth Co-Lab, the International Trade Centre, Dhaka Bank, USAID and Swisscontact.
