Sudhokko
Bangladesh
The Sudhokko smartphone app is primarily intended for use among livestock service providers (LSPs), with the support of livestock officers, while making farmers more confident in the services being provided. The app includes schedule creating; details regarding providing medical care; medicine selection based on disease/symptoms; accounts keeping; calculating transportation cost and call records reminders. It also contains videos that LSPs can share with farmers. After a visit from a participating livestock service provider, farmers receive a text message with a visit summary, details on treatments and prescriptions, and have the chance to provide feedback on services. The app has been tested with 100-120 LSPs since October 2019. Companies can promote their products on the app. The data generated by the LSPs in using the app is curated into a web-based Market Intelligence Platform with livestock pharma companies and research organizations as the end users. The platform will avail them information like disease pattern, medicine usage pattern of LSPs in different types of diseases, usage of their own brands of products as well as other brands by LSPs etc. An added Breed Identification and Cattle Registry feature helps the artificial insemination (AI) technician to identify the breed of a particular cow, by matching the types and percentages of exotic breed charecteristic present in that cow, in order to make optimum recommendation for AI selection.
