The Onion Culitivation app developed by the Indian Institute for Horticulture Research (IIHR) offer farm advisory services related to onion cultivation includes onion crop production aspects, viz., soil climate, sowing nursery management, transplanting, broadcasting, planting bulbs, manures and fertilizers weed control Irrigation harvesting and yield, curing and storage, integrated disease management and pest management. The Disease and Pest management aspects comprising of various diseases and pests affecting onion crops including their symptoms and control measures for the users to manage their crop. Onion varieties released by IIHR and FAQs are also included in the app. Further, a query window for farmers to post their queries related to onion cultivation is also available.
