Developed by Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development (MoALD) of Nepal in collaboration with the European Union (EU), the Kisan ID (Farmer’s Digital Identification) is a web and mobile app based digital platform for collecting digitial ID's by respective municipalities of Nepal. It helps in subsidy tracking, enable digital financial services, integrate to other governments digital systems and many other targeted supports to the farmer. The EU has provided technical assistance to MoALD in the design of system requirements that include the digital data collection tools for registration, verification, and authentication services, as well as key details around data backup, contingency planning, and data security/protection.
