Its a social network specifically designed to enable efficient marketing in rural, developing countries. It offers corporate clients and public partners mobile (SMS, voice) and web solutions to better engage and dialog with rural consumers. Their greatest achievement is having succeeded in increasing farmers' income up to 22 times (2200%) in Indonesia. There are up to two million farmers that have already registered in 8Villages database. More than 40.000 farmers have joined the community platform (based on education and information), and more than 5.000 farmers are ready to do transactions through their e-commerce platform, there are up to 150 outlets that supply raw-materials directly from farmers.
