Union Digital Center (UDC)

Established in 2010, The Union Digital Center (UDC) is a national initiative to bring government services and private-public information at the doorsetsp pf the citizens. and connecting all citizens with the modern system of information flow. 6,790 digital centers are set up across the country to provide services. THe CDC is part of a long strategy establishing a knowledge-based country. Over 200 public and private services are being provided from these centers. Examples of services include: Landfill, life insurance, payment of rural electricity bill, government forms, results of public examinations, online university admission, online birth-death registration, VGF-VGD list, citizen charter, citizen application, agricultural information, Health advice etc. Private services include Mobile Banking, Computer Training, Photography, Internet Browsing, Email, Job Information, Compose, British Council English Education, Visa Application and Tracking, Conferencing in Video, Printing, Scanning, Photocopy, Leminating etc. UDC also includes the ICTD initiative "Mygov" app, which has eased access to 334 services and over 50 services listed related to agriculture.
